Batman: Arkham Asylum

With the recent post of a fan-made Arkham trailer on our Movies/Videos page, I decided to do a quick post on a game that looks like it will finally do Batman a justice. This game looks dark and absolutely gritty! This game has a unique storyline written by the brilliant Paul Dini. The game looks like it's going to have a great combat system and of course all the Batman gadgets at the player's disposal. Several Batman villians will be featured in this game such as: Joker, Scarecrow and the Killer Croc. The gameplay should be very smooth since it is going to be using the Unreal 3 engine. It also features the voice talents of some Batman veterans from the Animated series so I am pretty pumped. This game is going to be awesome and look forward to its June 9 release!

Bioshock 2

Bioshock 2 looks absolutely amazing. The original was scary and action packed. The underwater city of Rapture was beautifully constructed and visualized and it's fascinating to see it falling apart in the game. The eerie 40's and 50's feel of the game also adds to creepiness in a big way. Game play for the Bioshock 2 is to be different as you return to Rapture ten years later playing as the first Big Daddy! New characters such as the Big Sister will stalk you around every corner, but your Big Daddy arsenal (yes, including the drill) should help! Everything is said to be better in this game as the designers went all out. In the first game, you could look outside and see the bottom of the ocean, in Bioshock 2, you can walk out on the ocean floor! I have very high expectations for this game and I hope that the hype will be as good as they say because the first one set the bar pretty high!

Resident Evil 5

What can't be said about this game that hasn't already been said about the rest of the series. It's a fantastic game. There are intricate levels that take some problem solving. Along with ginormous (yes it's a new word now) boss battles. Everything within the game is well thought out and the storyline along with it was well written. To say one spoiler with it I just have to say three words Zombies With Guns! There was only one problem that I had with the game. It was the fact that you cannot run and shoot at the same time. Yeah it makes it a little more fun with having to figure out the little shots that you can make to kill an enemy with one shot, but the fact that they can run around and shoot while you just stand there and have to aim and shoot makes it a little harder for the gamer. Other than that this game is a fantastic buy with a lot of replay value.

Left for Dead: Survival Mode

So I haven't played Left for Dead for quite some time. I downloaded the new free update for Survival Mode and all I can say is wow! It's really fun and really hard to survive! You just fight endless waves of the undead for as long as you can! It's kind of like Horde Mode on Gears of War 2, but a lot harder! I think my best time was like 3:15 or something and you need 4 minutes or better for a bronze medal! I am really glad that they finally released an update to this game. I hope they keep adding more great additions like Survival Mode!
